1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Storage Valet's services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.
These Terms apply to all users, including members, visitors, and others who access or use the Services.
2. Description of Services
Storage Valet provides premium storage concierge services, including:
- Scheduled pickup and delivery of personal belongings
- Secure, climate-controlled storage
- Digital inventory management
- Item retrieval and delivery with 48-hour minimum booking notice
Our Services are currently available in Hudson County, New Jersey, including Hoboken, Jersey City, Edgewater, Weehawken, Union City, West New York, and North Bergen.
3. Membership and Billing
Membership Fee: The standard membership fee is $299 per month.
Billing Cycle: If a complimentary introductory period is offered, your first monthly billing begins after that period ends. Membership fees are billed monthly in advance.
Cancellation: You may cancel your membership at any time. Upon cancellation, we will arrange final delivery of all stored items at no additional charge. No refunds are provided for partial months.
Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
4. Storage Limitations
You agree not to store the following items:
- Hazardous materials, flammables, or explosives
- Perishable food or beverages
- Live plants or animals
- Firearms, ammunition, or weapons
- Illegal substances or items
- Items with a declared value exceeding $2,000 (without prior written approval)
Storage Valet reserves the right to refuse storage of any items at our discretion.
5. Insurance and Liability
Included Coverage: Each membership includes $2,000 in insurance coverage for stored items at no additional cost.
Claims: In the event of loss or damage, you must file a claim within 30 days of discovery. Claims must include documentation of the item's value.
Limitation of Liability: Storage Valet's liability is limited to the lesser of the item's actual cash value or the coverage amount. We are not liable for items excluded from coverage or damage caused by factors beyond our control.
Additional Coverage: Members may request additional coverage for high-value items. Contact us for details and pricing.
6. Pickup and Delivery
Scheduling: Pickups and deliveries must be scheduled through your member portal or by contacting our team.
Access: You are responsible for ensuring our team has safe and reasonable access to your items at the scheduled time.
Delivery Scheduling: Deliveries require a minimum 48-hour booking notice and are fulfilled on your selected date for items in our standard service area.
Missed Appointments: If you miss a scheduled appointment without 24-hour notice, a $50 rescheduling fee may apply.
7. Your Responsibilities
As a member, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration and throughout your membership
- Pack items appropriately for transport and storage
- Disclose any fragile, high-value, or special-handling items
- Maintain accurate contact information
- Comply with all applicable laws regarding stored items
8. Intellectual Property
The Storage Valet name, logo, website, and all related materials are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or copyrighted materials without prior written consent.
9. Privacy
Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
10. Termination
Storage Valet may suspend or terminate your membership if you:
- Fail to pay membership fees
- Violate these Terms
- Store prohibited items
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Upon termination, you must retrieve your items within 45 days. Unclaimed items may be disposed of in accordance with applicable law.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Hudson County, New Jersey, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through your member portal. Continued use of our Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
